Tunnels Beaches! Well where do I start? Hand on heart there is no other wedding venue in Devon like this or dare I say even in the entire country. Situated on the North Devon coast in Ilfracombe access to this amazing venue is via a tunnel through the cliff and the view as you come out of the other side over your own private beach has a real wow factor!
The tunnel itself is closed off during your wedding ceremony so you and your wedding guests will be the only ones accessing it.
The Wedding Ceremony itself is carried out in a really cool, thatched hut overlooking the beach. You'll be saying your marriage vows while listening to the crashing of waves below, do beach weddings in the UK get any better than this?
Everything about this wedding venue in Devon is chilled, think Cafe del Mar but instead of Ibiza you're on a beach in North Devon. Even the sunsets remind me of sitting on the rocks at Cafe del Mar, chilling with a beer while the sun set over the ocean... It's as close as you can get although depending on the time of the year it's not always as warm.
Having been fortunate to have done a few weddings at Tunnels Beaches and every one has been nothing short of awesome, from the buckets of iced beer, flip flops, chinos instead of suits, the BBQ wedding breakfast, I could go on and on but you get the idea I'm sure.
