Weddings at The Horn of Plenty

The Horn of Plenty is a romantic 4 star high end luxurious country house wedding venue located in near Tavistock in Devon and has a similar feel and vibe to Northcote Manor in North Devon.  As you come down the drive it has real wow factor as your first set eye's on the grand frontage of the Hotel followed by the staggering views overlooking the Tamer Valley on the Devon / Cornwall border.

As you enter the country house itself you immediately feel incredibly incredible warm & cosy. The Horn of Plenty has such a welcoming homely feel about it and the staff only add to that. 

Brides typically get ready in one of the suites upstairs, these are perfect for wedding photography as the rooms have beautiful natural light and are elegant and modern finished with vintage, high end furnishings. The bridal suite also benefits from a veranda with stunning views as you can see below!

The Groom and his entourage usual prepare themselves in one of the rooms outside of the main country house which helps ensure that no sneaky peaks of the Bride and dresses can happen. These rooms are more modern again furnished to a high standard.

The wedding ceremony itself is held in the main room, this can be opened up further for larger weddings and later gets transformed to the dance floor, not that you'll see any of that happen mind, the chairs just vanish! 

The wedding breakfast is held in the conservatory, it runs the full length of the hotel and again has those magnificent views of the Devon & Cornwall border. The restaurant has an amazing team and have been awarded 2 AA rosettes and I would say they deserve another, if you're a foodie the Horn of Plenty should be near the top of your list. 

All in all if you're after a relaxed, elegant wedding with a homely feel and incredible food then this should be on your list to consider.
