Jess & Steven get Married
This could be straight out of a romance novel! A journey from Berkshire all the way to Cornwall, where Jess & Steven embarked on a breathtaking elopement at the mesmerizing Gunwalloe Church located literally on the beach and also known as “The Church of the Storms.”
It was a day where love and nature conspired to create the most enchanting backdrop for Jess and Steven’s Wedding. With just the four of us (Jess, Steven, the Vicar & Myself) and of course the 2 random witnesses, they set out Eloping and sealing their hearts and souls together as one.
The Church of the Storms: Where Magic Meets Reality
As they arrived at Gunwalloe Church, perched gracefully on the golden sands of the beach, Jess and Steven knew they were about to become a part of something truly extraordinary. The wind whispered tales of love and devotion, and the crashing waves seemed to serenade them with a symphony of emotions. With only the closest souls present, their vows were exchanged, sealing their bond amidst the ever-changing beauty of the sea.
Cliffs, Sea Mist, and Whispers of Forever
With the Wedding ceremony behind them and vows exchanged we ventured up the rugged cliffs behind the church. The mystical sea mist embraced them just the right amount so the incredible views could still be seen but creating an ethereal aura that added an extra layer of magic to their day. We walked around the cliff top searching for that perfect spot whilst testing poor Steven’s fear of heights to the limit (so sorry Steven). As you can see there was just too many, but thankfully the beauty of an Elopement Wedding here in Cornwall means we have so much more time for incredible Bride & Groom photos, 3 hours instead of 20 minutes.
After leaving Gunwalloe Church on the beach we headed over to continue the adventure at Kynance Cove. I was lucky enough to literally grow up on this beach and knew it would provide the perfect backdrop for even more stunning photos Jess & Steven would love. I also love seeing their faces and reaction when they first see it. The sun-kissed sands, azure waters, and dramatic rock formations accentuated their love story in the most picturesque way possible.
And here’s the grand finale, what a way to end the day! With laughter and excitement Jess and Steven (well more Jess than Steven i think, haha) couldn’t resist the allure of the sea. Hand in hand, they removed their shoes and waded into the crystal-clear waters, wedding outfits and all, capturing the essence of their carefree adventurous spirits.
I am now so in love with Elopement Weddings and officially a Cornwall Elopement Photographer i guess. So if this is something you’re considering and Cornwall is on your radar of places to Elope to please do get in touch, I’m so ready for not only meeting more crazy spontaneous couples and taking their Elopement Wedding Photos but to also share with them forever the beauty surrounding me that I was lucky enough to be born into..
